Still sick :(

So, I don't think that my cold has actually developed into the flu, but ... it's getting there. Yesterday evening I started having a fever and then my body just ached all over. Do you know the feeling when even the brush of a feather against your skin can really hurt? I get like that when I'm sick -.-

Maybe I shouldn't have gone to university after all, but this semester I've got this one professor who'll deduct points from your mark if you miss class even once - so I had to drag myself there (and promptly spend all of the lesson coughing and sneezing and generally passing my cold onto everyone in the vicinity. It got so bad one lady in the row in front of me actually turned around and offered me a cough drop in the hope it would shut me up -.-). So that's how I ended up staying at home today -.-.

In lieu of doing anything regarding university (studying, you say? pfff, what is this folly you're talking about?) I basically spent the day watching the Graham Norton Show and some episodes of Who do you think you are? - and then I tried to find out whether Stephen Fry is going to return to Twitter, or not. Poor guy =( - did anyone else read about this massive media outrage concerning some comments he apparently made about male and female sexuality? Now, whatever he might have said in actual fact (I've not read the article as of yet) I really just can't imagine the guy having meant anything he said in an offensive way. I just can't. Judging by what I've seen of him in interviews and stuff and read by him, he seems to be a really nice and considerate man - so, Stephen Fry a sexist? No-o. Get out of here. I really believe that this must have somehow become really overblown (as things often do with today's media, I fear) and I hope that he's going to come back soon (though I don't even have a twitter account :D)!

Only twenty more days until I turn twenty ... I feel like I should do something epic now ... but I'm horribly unimaginative. I'll just gulp down twenty mugs of healing coffee now =)! (yeah, right)

Sadly, I really can believe that Stephen Fry is capable of sexist remarks, because this isn't the first time.

I love his acting, but the man himself...well, he's done some admirable things, but he's done some less-than-admirable things, too. But then, he's human, just like the rest of us, so I suppose that's understandable.

I really, really can't or rather shouldn't comment about whether he made any sexist remarks in the past or not, because I've just got no idea (I only recently noticed him, due to having read a book by him which I found absolutely brilliant and subsequently watching maaany many interviews with him :D). I'd really like to look into some of these other remarks though and see for myself; maybe find out more about him before I delve into full-fledged fannish adoration ;)! Do you know where I could find stuff out?

I'm not a fan of his (other than the acting), so I'm not the best person to ask, but I do remember that he's flounced from Twitter before, and I believe that was over some sort of controversy too. Maybe try Googling it? I'm sorry I can't be of more help.

Man, that's really kind of unreasonable to deduct points for missing a single class. People get sick, have funerals to attend and such, and class is still supposed to be more important? Geez!

Yes, it is =(! Worst part is that I don't think that the class is of any use to me - content wise. I usually spend most of the lesson looking dumbly at the teacher and trying to understand what he's saying (it's almost completely in Chinese). And then he likes to crack jokes, which makes the others who've already been to China laugh ... and me and the other poor sods just sit there and try to look like we've understood every word he said -.-.

I'm feeling better now, finally, thanks! (though I wish that damn runny nose would go away, too - it's disgusting =()
